The Freddie Fixer Parade Encourages Everyone To Volunteer And Is Always Looking For Individuals And Groups Willing To Promote The Cause Of The Freddie Fixer Parade. You "CAN" Make a Difference In Your Community!
The Freddie Fixer Parade was founded on the idea of helping those in need, especially the elderly. Since this organization was established, it has evolved from encouraging neighborhood beautification, recycling, and to promoting non-violence on the city streets of the City Of New Haven, Connecticut.
Our committee is currently made up entirely of volunteers, however we understand the importance of being able to bring in prudent volunteers to push forth the mission and preservation of the values to which the parade was founded.
That is why we have launched an all out campaign to raise the funds needed to secure the people that are mostly dedicated to this cause. The citizens of the city of New Haven and their support is vital, if the Freddie Fixer Parade will have a future in its home town where it all began.

Maurice W. Smith
A Volunteer For The Freddie Fixer Parade Since 1999, Mr. Smith Had Previously Served As Secretary, And As Vice-President Before Becoming President In 2009. Faced With The Arduous Task Of Trying To Restore The Parade's Image, Mr. Smith Concedes That The Challenge Has Been Great And Overwhelming, At Least. However, The Biggest Challenge To Date, Is Trying To Garner More Community Support For This Historic Event, And Keep The Tradition And True Meaning Of The Freddie Fixer Parade Alive.
Contrary To What Many New Haven Residents Believe, The City Of New Haven Or Any Of It's Officials Has Not Contributed Financially Towards The Operating Expenses Of The Parade, Even Though The Parade Organization Is A Non-Profit Entity. Therefore, Every Single Dollar That Is Spent Towards Running This Event Comes From Very Few Sponsors And Dedicated Community Members.
